Kitten season is usually from spring to summer, and we all know what happens in nature during the spring (birds and the bees cough cough) so many of the cats at t he Humane Society of West Michigan are pregnant right now. The organization says kittens are extremely vulnerable to getting sick in the shelters so foster homes are lifesavers.

Megan Ellinger, events coordinator, at Humane Society of West Michigan told Fox 17 that “We always encourage adoption as a first choice when looking for a new pet we can guarantee that any cat you adopt from us will be up to date on vaccinations, spayed or neutered and micro chipped in case they do get lost.”
