All day Thursday, April 24th, and Friday, April 25th, we’ll be bringing awareness to what Make-A-Wish does for the community, let you hear stories of kids who had their wishes granted, and help fundraise so Make-A-Wish Michigan can grant even more wishes than they did last year!

Every 20 Minutes, a Child’s Life Changes Forever.
Across the United States, a child is diagnosed with a critical illness every 20 minutes. At Make-A-Wish® Michigan, we believe that no child should have to wait even one unnecessary day for the hope, strength, and joy a wish brings.
Since its founding in 1984, Make-A-Wish Michigan has granted more than 12,000 life-changing wishes to children across the state. Our goal in 2025 is to grant 525 more wishes, but we can’t do it without your support.
Each year, approximately 800 Michigan children will be diagnosed with a critical illness. With the help of more than 1,000 dedicated volunteers and generous donors like you, we bring the power of a wish to kids in all 83 Michigan counties.
Your Support Makes Local Wishes Come True
Make-A-Wish does not receive annual government funding. While in-kind donations help, most of our mission is funded by individual financial contributions. Every dollar you give stays in Michigan to help local kids.
We cover all wish-related expenses, removing financial stress from families so they can focus on what matters most: their child’s health and happiness.

Research shows that wishes do more than bring joy—they can improve a child’s physical and emotional well-being and improve health outcomes. Many of the children whose wishes we grant go on to beat their illness and credit their wish for giving them the strength to keep fighting.
