For many kids, camp is about reuniting with friends, connecting with nature, and enjoying activities that last all day long. For kids at Camp O’Malley, camp is much more. It’s about avoiding constant worry and anxiety, if only for a week.
For many, it’s about connecting with nature—for the very first time.
Each year, approximately 600 children attend Camp O’Malley and 90% of those children live at or below the poverty line. While a week at camp actually costs $500, our tuition is based upon family income and most campers pay $50 or less. For the children who attend Camp O’Malley, camp is where they can finally, for once, just be kids. We believe no child should be denied a life-changing experience because of his/her inability to pay, and we hope you believe the same.
Camp O’Malley is entering it’s 75th summer this year and in honor of that, we are hoping you will consider joining us by making a donation. Our goal is for 100 people to donate $75 each. By helping us reach our goal, you’re giving kids a chance to kayak, swim, and explore, but more importantly, you’re giving them a way to become something greater.
